It's a bit misleading. The GAT is something like a 20 year average. 1.5°C is here in 2024. Only the averaging from 2004 to 2024 keeps it lower.
Dem tipping points being tipped already. Couching it in the language of scientific caution is a mugs game. Shit's fucked 'yo. You're fucked. Already fucked. The biosphere doesn't want you anymore. Enjoy the ride to oblivion.
Lol. Uh, yeah man, like maybe.
Lol! Why be cantankerous under these circumstances?
If you choose to face the end of human techno-industrial civilization with a plucky optimistic attitude that's cool. You do you.
Come on, it's just increasingly extremist politics until a few hundred years from now when the real shit starts popping off with constant fatal weather events, death heat waves, crop failures, mass starvation, billions dying trying to escape to the habital regions which will be run by the meanest people who can hold control of the land. Insane wars over the limited habital land remaining eventually in just the polar regions as human population craters kicking and screaming the whole way. Stop being so negative and keep having children for the pointless meat grinder. Muh legacy.
