I want to believe this is kind of interpretation of Prometheus's punishment but... no.

I am quite sure Prometheus was punished by an eagle eating his liver, not by some long beaked, colourful bird taking a peck at his pecker.

Eagle was on holiday. Colourful bird temping and didn't really read the instructions.

Yeah, eternal punishment for Prometheus, reasonable work hours and lots of time off for Aëtos.
