Why the fuck would you talk to these clowns, let alone invite them inside. You have the right to tell them to fuck off through the window. They do not have a warrant.

You know what seriously sucks, is you're absolutely right. But in the moment some people are so completely caught off guard that logic like this just disappears. I was uncomfortable just watching this because I know I would be also continuing to talk more than I should in response to their fake politeness.

Yesterday a man asked me to sign a paper to get some candidate on some ballot and, caught off guard, I was complying before noticing it was for a Republican candidate and logic just came back to me leading me to refuse before going too far.

This is an excellent point and no doubt a key aspect of human nature that is exploited to achieve the overall success of this tactic.

Yeah, and in this scene the feds stroll up in casual clothing, with sunglasses perched on their head like they're on their way to have some mai tais down by the beach. They seem friendly and forthcoming and just want to ask some questions. "Your name came up and we're just trying to get an accurate picture of what happened." Once he's mentally committed to the exercise then they start grilling him about antifa and accusing him of lying about his lack of connections.

A hostile (voluntary) questioning is always going to start like it's no big deal.

During the 2nd red scare. FBI agents simply broke into people's homes to find evidence of "subversiveness"

The red scare never ended
