* All chatrooms are linked together. If you join one room your messages will be copied to the other platforms.

* Matrix is an open source and potentially distributed chat protocol. The matrix room listed is hosted on matrix.org, a somewhat centralized hub for a lot of currently public rooms. Though the protocol itself is free, libre and open source, the deployment of the protocol resembles a centralized service. This may be fixed in the future with the deployment of independent servers.

Just went for a walk with my doggo. The colours are amazing, the leaf crunch is there. Many people are out and about at the dog parks, parking lots are almost full.

What's holding you back from getting the family out for an hour long walk? it's great for your legs, back and lungs and keeps any pets tired so you can enjoy the rest of your day even more?

Hope you had a great weekend whatever your original plans were.

Stay safe and happy Ottawa!

Cleaning up all the damn leaves.

How do you clean up leaves? I'm new to lawncare, so I've bagged up the thickest piles and run a lawnmower over the slight detritus that's left. The "mulch mow" didn't chop up the leaves as much as I expected, so I'm not sure if I should rake up those bits or let nature take its course.

Well, I have an acreage in the country with about 20 mature maple trees. I drive over them with my ride on mower with the bagger on. Then dump them all into a big pile to compost over the winter. Makes great compost when mixed with grass clippings. I will leave the last small amounts on the lawn for the bugs over winter.
