Biden's support of Israel was purely political. Money from the USA flowed to Israel because of treaties and agreements that were made well before he stepped into office. Because Israel and the USA are strong allies, he refused to denounce them publicly.

Equating that to holding the knife is the height of willful ignorance.

Was Biden partially culpable for the deaths? Yes. But you know who was wholly culpable for the deaths? Netanyahu. If the USA revoked their support tomorrow, the deaths would still continue. If Netanyahu revoked HIS support for the genocide, the genocide would stop.

"if we didn't finance a genocide someone else will"

"Herp derp. I held the door open for fascism in America. Herp derp."

Is that your impersonation of Harris? Or Biden?

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

yhea, he did.

the democratic party had a choice between listening to the public and getting rejected, or appeasing their donnors.

they made their choice. they realise they rather sponsor a genocide and lose the election.

Democrats made a mistake. So did the American people.

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

their mistake was unavoidable, they serve corporate donors, not the American people.

then becoming useless fascist enablers was a matter of time.

So, being that you live in a two party system, what are your suggestions?

Vote 3rd party? Nope. The 3rd party candidate with the most votes in 2024 only got half of a single percent of the total votes cast. Not viable. Not even close. No 3rd party is even trying to be viable.

Violent revolution? Lol. DO IT. I DARE YOU. See how many Americans join you.

So, rub those brain cells together now. What's the next best option? Could it be voting for the lesser evil, then reforming it by voting out the bad actors that won't get onboard?

This isn't complicated to anyone that's spent maybe 15 seconds actually thinking about it.

There are other parties, and they are managing to win. look at Mandami, from DSA, won the primary of the dems, a party he is not a member of, in a landslide.

there are ways.

I personally work with a mutual aid to feed people who will be the most affected, were organising, and have ambitions.

there is also a national general strike on the way.
