You'd think with their warp tech they'd have figured out at least the shape of the universe.
They struggle to even go to different quadrants of a single galaxy. There are trillions of galaxies.
That's not how science works. We have a few ideas of how the universe is shaped now, and we've never gotten past the moon.
So what? We've always had ideas about how it was shaped. Maybe it's a really hard problem.
