Whats happening?
Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist candidate for mayor of New York City, won his race with more than 50% of the vote, even though every prominent right-wing personality including Trump and Musk endorsed his challenger, and millionaires and billionaires throughout the city and the country dumped truckloads of money on Cuomo's head.
Don't forget he's the first Muslim mayor of New York, a city with more Jews than anywhere outside Tel Aviv!
Oh yeah. There's tons of stuff about him that's novel and impressive and will make MAGAs big mad.
The old guard Dem national leadership also refused to support Mamdani when he won the primary over Cuomo the sex pest. Fucking Schumer refused to endorse Mamdani.
Schumer (like so many DNC fossils) is bought by AIPAC. Isreal doesnt want US politicians that are critical of them.
But, perhaps simpler than that, I think Schumer would hate on Mamdani for free. I think Schumer is (even without money) a staunch Zionist, Islamophobe. Hes definitely anti-progressive and a firm corpo capitalist democrat. All his talk about strength and diversity is just lip service.
