I'm a big fan, but I would also not categorize myself as a power user. I want my computer to "just work," and I have more than enough storage space that I'm willing to accept a trade-off in storage size to not have dependency issues. I never really notice and issues permission-wise though, if something really should have access to other files on my computer I just use Flatseal.
