2. No bigotry or harassment, be civil

No bigotry, hardline stance. Try not to get too heated when entering into a discussion or debate.

We want to keep the quality of posts high. Therefore, memes, funny videos, low-effort posts and reposts are not allowed. We prohibit giveaways because we cannot be sure that the person holding the giveaway will actually do what they promise.

5. Mark Spoilers and NSFW

Make sure to mark your stuff or it may be removed.

No one wants to be spoiled. Therefore, always mark spoilers. Similarly mark NSFW, in case anyone is browsing in a public space or at work.

6. No linking to piracy

Don't share it here, there are other places to find it. Discussion of piracy is fine.

We don't want us moderators or the admins of lemmy.world to get in trouble for linking to piracy. Therefore, any link to piracy will be removed. Discussion of it is of course allowed.

Today's game is some more Project Zomboid. Cable's hand had to come off today. His right hand to be more specific. He got bitten and we had to rush for a emergency procedure. Jerry sawed it off and we had our friend on stand by. Cable just barely pulled through. I prepared everything in advance. Bandages, anti septic, the saw, and a warmed up stove. I sawed the arm off, bandaged it, and then we were going to use the stove, but Cable would have to do it himself and he was too shakey. So we let it do it's thing naturally.

Jerry knew how to make a prosthetic so we had to rush him into a car and go to pick up the supplies. I gave Cable a hatchet so he could defend himself and wouldn't be defenseless (he only had a crowbar) and we went to a nearby factory.

We found everything we were missing, but while searching for he last Steel Pipe i accidentally set off an alarm. Of course then was when my network decided to crash and Cable and our Friend got booted. I got back into the main building safely but they still need to escape. I'm going to clear the area ahead of time for them to hopefully help.

Speaking of Jerry, his mustache grew into a beard. I like to imagine it's like the opposite of Murder Jacket Rick. He's actually more Sane with the beard. Maybe something like Kratos's character arc?

I found a corpse that looked something suspiciously like jerry with the mustache. In a TV show this could be a metaphor.

Before cable's hand had to go, Jerry had his own little adventure too. He walked too the other side of town, broke into the fancy gated community and camped out in their home. That's where he spent the night until he had to rush back to cable, kind of bringing us full circle.

Project Zomboid really does have a surprising amount of depth to it. It's also got a really impressive modding scene. Like, in this particular instance, cutting off limbs and prosthetics are from a mod. In the vanilla game, once you've been bitten, you'll die soon after no matter what you do.
