Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

You do understand that in this exchange you're the one who's strawmanning, right?
You literally propped up an argument (in the first half of your comment) that wasn't made by the other person so that you could knock it down.
All they did was call it agitprop. You assumed/made up a bunch of things about that commenter.
So no. You are wrong. They never made a strawman argument, and claiming that they did means that you don't know what a strawman is in the first place.
I wish people passionate about this sort of thing were just a little smarter, because damn, you did a great job at making us look stupid to people who actually know what words mean.
The OP comic is the context in which I'm responding. It itself establishes the commentary on the disparity between the global north and south.
This is literally the straw man... There is no logical basis in insinuating a geopolitical conspiracy against the west simply because a comic posted on Christmas is critical about our consumption practices.
There's a whole fuckload of jumping to conclusions here.
