I don't care about Maduro, as far as I'm concerned, they can shoot him if they want. What matters to me is walking through the streets of my city and seeing the faces of fear on my neighbors. The military patrolling to prevent looting due to panic. It's a collective hangover, a horrible one.

It's 2016 all over again. It's seeing despair entering the circulatory system of all Venezuelans, only now it's more sudden, and we are painfully aware of it.

This is far from improving, and we know it.

The USA is screwing the whole world extremely hard. Many countries that didn't have a say in the US elections are now being happily fucked by Mango Hitler.

Don't expect those countries to be happy with any american person they see. Is it unfair? Absolutely? But the only ones responsible for what's happening are the Usonians, either by having voted for him or by not stopping him.

Yeah I have no illusions about people being dicks to random Americans they encounter, that’s how people work. But that’s not what “you can expect to be personally held accountable for your actions the second you leave your borders.” means. That sounds like they’re expecting the fucking ICC to swoop in and arrest people for not burning shit down and trying to kill politicians, which is fucknut crazy.

No, I'm expecting Americans to get curb stomped when they walk into the wrong neighborhood.

My mother was adopted, and her non-biological grandmother was a holocaust survivor.

I was always confused by how much she hated all Germans and German immigrants, regardless of age, or if their family had immigrated before the war. Most of them surely didn't support the nazi party in any way, and the vast majority I knew of were born after 1950.

I understand the mindset a little better now, I think. Unfortunately in this instance, I'm the German that didn't support the nazi party and wanted to get out of Germany in the 30s. But I get why any Jewish person would hate me.
