TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

except that is not what happened. she left because she felt she is not going to become a star there and she will have bigger chance elsewhere.
Both things can be correct. She felt her like her character wasn't going to go anywhere and was just becoming the "hot blonde" character which she understandably didn't want. That was the show-runners treating her like shit, and her feeling like she wasn't going to become a star there.
Given how Trek has treated women characters up to the current day, I'm not sure she was wrong.
we have jenna mitchell in the cast of strange new worlds today and it is wonder we even know her name. is she also treated like shit by some bully? compared to that, corby got one episode centered all around her and quite an amount of screen time in the other episodes. not everything is ensamble cast, sometimes you have support characters, sometimes it takes time to develop some characters.
she also returned when she found out grass is not greener on the other side, so i think your theory has some holes in it.
You seem to have trouble understanding that this is 30 years ago, and a different woman. Please course correct.
no, i don't.
Oh, I see. I didn't realize you had brain damage. My apologies.
between the two of us i am pretty sure you are the one with the brain damage. trouble understanding simple written text, yet you still have the audacity to give out unsolicited advice. fuck off.
I was mostly referencing the wikipedia entry with a quote from her in my comment.
i was mostly referring to the fact that she left the show voluntarily and then came back when she found out she did not became superstar somewhere else. which you could have read in my comment above if you bothered to read it 🤷♂️
