If he violated international law he should have been brought in to an international court at the ICC’s request by an international coalition of forces

Wouldn't that require consent from Maduro? AFAIK the ICC doesn't really catch people from countries that refuse them.

and if he violated Venezuelan law he should be arrested, tried, and sentenced in Venezuela by Venezuelans

Kinda need a coup d'etat for that first if he runs the country

Unless he violated USAmerican law, in USAmerica without immunity, and was arrested in the US he shouldn’t be in US courts.

But seriously, you pretty much can't actually charge a dictator while they're still in power. Kidnapping them like Trump did is pretty much the only way, but that doesn't mean it's a legitimate way.
