What it would be is the greatest diplomatic incident of the century. The United Stakes would steadily become the next Best Korea, like Russia did.
If I defect to greenland and fight do you think Europe would take me?
I mean Ill probably die in a frozen tundra... or I could fight in greenland and make it worth it.
European universities have always been prepared to take in talented American academics who feel that they are being suppressed in the United States. This has been going on for a long time. Particularly in genetics where the US tends to be quite oppressive due to fear of the religious right.
