My mom suggesting that I take meth for a common cold because “the body would be sped up and burn the germs out” was pretty up there.
Was your mom born in the first half of the 19th century? If you grew up with heroin as a cough medicine, taking meth for a cold suddenly sounds reasonable.
No but she was actually born addicted to heroin cos my grandma was shooting up while pregnant. She was immediately taken by the state when she was born so she’s not all there

I'll tell yah though. Ever since I got put on adderall, I've never been properly congested. Amphetamines do help keep your sinuses clear. So she wasn't completely wrong.
Pseudoephedrine is an amazing decongestant, and an ok stimulant, though with diminishing returns after a couple days in a row. Used to get it all the time in college when we couldn't find something better. Called it "poverty Adderall".
Yeah adderall is the shit, I’d probably have taken her suggestion if it were just an addy but switching from the amphetamines to methamphetamine gets exponential. Adderall does do wonders for my chest when it’s congested. But then again, so does capsaicin
