I can't tell if the meme is saying they are ugly on the outside or on the inside (for ogling Trump).
It must be the former, since liking Trump is normal for them.
there's a documented MAGA look. it's creepy and peak uncanny valley. based on MAGA women trying to all look the same with surgeries, treatments and makeup.
Body shaming is bad, but accepting this is the opposite of body positivity. MAGA women are body shamed to look like that. it's actually sad.
Yea, the Mar-a-Largo face. I think its uncanny, but very evocative of the conservative mindset. I agree that it shouldn't be normalised, though it doesn't seem to me like the women in this meme have had those paticular procedures done.
I am disheartened how ubiquitous plastic surgery, especially "small" ones like botox, have become.
yhea, I will agree that body shaming is bad. and it won't prevent the reasons people get mody dysmorphia. just that those are the most hateful human beings on the planet, and they openly want me removed from the nation and rip my daughters away. so I genuinely do not care for their feelings. the world would be a much better place with them not in it.
I get that. To me, empathy is a ressource. If you put it into every little thing, you'll eventually run out. I dont think you have to feel sorry for them. Understanding why theyre so fucked up and hateful can put things into perspective, but it doesn't excuse their actions.

Look, I dont like them. I am not defending them. But reducing them to their looks just because theyre pieces of shit and implying they're turning men gay. I think it's shitty, because it doesnt hurt only them.

So is a woman insulting a man by saying he's ugly also sexist? I'm struggling to see how it's misogyny, honestly. Like I'm not trying to fight or anything, I just don't get how insulting physical appearance can be misogynistic when men can be ugly too. It doesn't seem to be attacking them because they're women, but because their appearance seems to reflect their souls. Ugly. What am I missing?

The meme is attacking their appearance, and only their appearance, because they are women. I dont really believe in this "looks reflect the soul" stuff. Some people are the absolute sweetest, yet dont meet societal beauty standards. Some people are shit, yet are considered attractive.
I dont know if you've read some comments in this thread, but there's multiple calling them men. Since they aren't beautiful, they have their womanhood stripped away from them.

I dont know how much more obvious beauty being tied to a woman's worth as a woman can get.
But they're ugly because of specific choices they made to wear what ends up looking like a fascist clown costume. They chose this look. They're not being made fun of for things outside their control.
The vitriol and anger that led to those aesthetic choices also led to unhappy marriages. That's the joke as I saw it.
Most people in this comment section are mocking their physical attributes, not their clothes or hair or anything they might have control over.
This meme is directly implying that their husbands would rather sleep with other men, rather than with their wives, because they find them so unattractive.

That's fair I haven't been reading the whole comment thread. There's definitely plenty of meat on the meme bone for jokes about the ugliness of the maga aesthetic without it degrading into misogyny, but it's too bad people are acting that way.
yea if it's implying that men are only worth being with because of their looks, it's sexist, yea. it's not as sexist because there's not a societally ingrained idea that a man's core worth is in his looks. so it's not like it's equivalent. but it's almost like there are different prejudices to different genders

These women chose to wear a specific type of outfit, a specific type of makeup, dye their hair a specific way, and get specific cosmetic surgeries to fit into the toxic world they live in. They choose to look like this. It's a uniform. Nobody is making fun of their bone structure, bodies, etc. They're making fun of choices they made aesthetically that comedically also reflect the toxic and ugly nature of their politics. The character flaws that led to those choices also led many of them to have shallow marriages of convenience. That is what I saw as the joke of the meme.

the issue is that there are women who have these traits independent of if they happen to belong this "costume". it's a look, but it falls within normal human variance. in essence, you've said any women who even vaguely has traits like this is a ghoul. besides, people should be allowed to choose how they look
it's also using the bludgeoning of the oppressor on people you happen to have moral standing over. this meme is still ultimately about their fuckability. sure, you may find them (physically) unfuckable because you believe their appearance is a reflection of their morals. but it's still not OK to reduce women to their fuckability. it's the same shit people do when they misgender shitty trans people. it reduces baseline respect to privilege that can be revoked. that's not baseline respect then lol
(aside, i don't think the "happen to have marriages of convenience" necessarily follows from the outfit. it might, i guess, i haven't really looked into the marriage success rates of this group of people. but it's not like average success rates of marriage are anything to write home about, either)
finally, i would hope that the people in this thread who are being SUPER misogynist about it are like... putting you off. i feel like it's not great if people are supporting misogyny in your not-misogynistic meme!
this could have been captioned "pedophile wives cabal" or something and i think that would have been fine. re: the above "using the bludgeoning of the oppressor", it's always worth questioning yourself about whether you're dunking on them because they're shitty people or because they're women who happen to be shitty people
