I submit the following: an oil shock and the resultant recession/depression is worth enduring so that the world may be rid of Trump. Let the idiot wear his blunder, and may the economic disaster he unleashed be forever known as the Trump Slump. The alternative might be WW3.

One thing, though: we must help Ukraine defeat Putin. Russia is getting a huge boost right now from Trumps's blunder. If the UK and others send ships anywhere, it should be to blockade Russia.

The end of the AI and Realestate bubbles and, even better, the Reserve status of the USD, would be wonderful things.

Sure, it would be painful, but it's like pulling a rotten tooth, a short sharp pain now to save us from continued paid that will turn into something much worse in the future.
