I never cared that much about it, but it is a shame that another alternative is going down.

I added the Session repo to F-Droid, installed the official app, created an account and joined a community.

I didn't get asked once to donate.

The app is or should be the primary communications interface between Session and it's users. Have they made appeals through the app before? Is it technically possible for them to do so?

I just opened Session and I got the message about the 90-day shutdown
