Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason

NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !askusa@discuss.online

Maybe don't quit, but plan how to make the best use out of that job for you. That could mean staying there to accumulate time off or to save money. It could mean change jobs so you can do that. It could mean taking off time between jobs.
However you can do it, live while you can. Even if you don't end up like I do, you will not have the same youthful vigor 10 years from now that you do now. It is your life. Don't waste it.
Yeah, I do actually like my job, it just gets boring at times and I'm not really being utilized to my full potential so it makes me feel a bit like I'm wasting time. I really can't complain though.
Its one of those things where if I quit my job to follow my dreams I'd probably be depressed and have no money anyways. But at least from this side of the glass I can imagine that IF I quit I would have done something cool. But then I quit dreaming and still have money. Unfortunate but its smarter this way I feel. I can still pretend after work and weekends.
Thats the plan ! I did at least start working out too so I can (if lucky) still have some.strength and energy later in life. And if not I'll know it wasnt something I could have prevented.
