Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

Well, it's about perception isn't it... America (Trump) is very sensitive about perception.
While this regime is huge on optics, this shit has gone on for millennia. I remember reading that Obama was pissed his handlers kept telling him to wait for the repubs to call him and not for him to call them as it would show weakness or some BS. He was like idgaf we need to start negotiations! The handlers just told him that's how DC politics worked and it would affect negotiations.
It's also why trump used to jerk ppl in when he shook hands to "throw them off guard" and make him look stronger and more dominant. His dying ass doesn't do it anymore cause he can barely stand or walk anywhere for more than 10 minutes. If he tried it now, the other person would just pull him and he'd fall.
I mean he is old as shit but Trudeau made him look like a twit all the way back in his first term with that stupid handshake.
Or they'd pull a rotten arm off.
The world should focus way more on like, dunno, science, facts and shit like dat, instead of stupid powergames.
Yes, I agree. They should. But they aren't.
It's a fact the administration sees value in those power games.
But they are idiots. A small part of me is happy any time they aren't, but this is really just pointless signalling by morons, for morons, about morons.
Electing politicians and expecting them not to play power games seems optimistic.
Especially from idiots that think those power games are cool and what being in power is all about.
I reckon such behavior is unavoidable the moment one sets foot on the lowest rung of any hierarchy.
Sweet reason is a wonderful thing. But without those stupid power games, it doesn't matter if you have the more convincing factual argument, you'll still be marginalized.
The ancient Greeks taught logic, but they also taught rhetoric. You have to be right, and you have to be able to convince others that you're right. Two separate skills.
