I swear to god the early 2000s was the death of fashion, utter wasteland of horrors
The concept of a "metrosexual" was introduced, which was apparently a heterosexual man, but he... Showered every once in a while? 00's sucked
Worst modern decade for everything vibeswise
A decade of good scifi and not much else
And on the flipside all the colourful outfits from then just looked super unfitting/ didn't match. See the women with neon yellow tank or crop tops combined with denim shorts or a skirt and fishnet stockings.
I just searched 2000s fashion on Google and already got like 5 matching results to that lol.
But at least that was better than mens fashion back then, men's fashion was absolute trash in the 2000s
Was my main takeaway as well, absolutely dire
The sad part is that so many aging millennials, even some on hexbear, are always reminiscing about that shitty era.

00s culture seemed like a backlash to both the depressing minimalism of the late 90s and also 9/11 (I regard the 90s as two separate culture epochs, early and late 90s)
We go through periods of everyone being sad and then everyone being vibrant and happy
