It's 2023, there's no such thing as a sextant on board. It has GPS, satellite-aided early warning devices, 14-day weather forecasts, echo sounding systems and IR and UV cameras seeing through fog, and they STILL plug their ears and close their eyes and keep going through the incessant beeping and droning and wailing and blaring and flashing of a thousand red alerts
Remember that US destroyer which had all this shit, military grade, and still managed to ram civilian ship in Malacca Strait and kill some of its own crew in the process?
