On principle, I don't celebrate anyone's death. I mourn the loss of potential to do good, however unlikely it might be to ever be realised. Imagine what his influence and charisma might have achieved, if he'd turned his bullshit around.

I do celebrate the end of people doing evil, however. I am glad he stopped being a lying, manipulative piece of shit. I hope more of his ilk will follow his example.

I think it's safe to say a college dropout who chooses to spread hate and misinformation to make a quick buck is probably not redeemable in any way, shape, or form.

Yeah, hence my "however unlikely it might be to ever be realised".

Anyone can have some significant personal event that fundamentally alters their outlook and worldview, sort of like a " coming to Jesus" moment (though it would have to be the "help the poor, treat the sick, love your neighbour, fuck the rich" version of Jesus and also more of a metaphorical personification of decency than the altruistic bait of a toxic cult).

But if we can't have that, then anything stopping him from (personally) doing more harm is the next best option.
