If he dies without seeing any consequences for his actions, I'll be a little disappointed (and not even slightly surprised). I'd rather see him live a long and miserable rest of his life behind bars.
But I guess sometimes we have to take what we get...
I thought like this when Biden was elected. I thought it was only a matter of time before Fatboy McKiddieFiddler was behind bars...now I just want him gone. And for just one person in america to have enough spine to go after the rest of that crime family and enablers.
This is how I've been. As much as I'd love to see them suffer for their crimes I just want them gone from this planet as quickly as possible.

He ensured that with this last election. I said it after his first election. No consequences will happen to him. We may know he did wrong. But all he will do is point out the weak points in our system. It's on us to fix them.
At this point he just needs to be gone as soon as possible. Preferably in a very public and humiliating way, related to his age and health, so he can't be turned into a martyr for maga.
As satisfying as it would be, I don't want this over just being done with him. Seeing how shitty things are, there's a chance he doesn't stay behind bars. It also doesn't actually do any good, besides people just getting off on revenge.
I'm pretty done with revenge fetish shit. It's a large part of why our prison system is so fucked up. If you're trying to reform someone then fine, lock them up. If you're just doing something for revenge then I'm not really for it, especially if it comes with a large risk in the unknown future.
(This isn't to say I agree with the death penalty. The justice system fucks up far too frequently to allow it to have that power.)
Leaving him only behind bars is something too soft, kind and indulgent. He has to suffer something equivalent to what he's caused.
For like a day, assuming his handlers didn't already have a worse replacement at the ready, which is likely.
Vance is already the VP.
I just want to be able to hang out with my neighbors in the middle of the street while burning a Trump effigy and getting shitface wasted. We've earned it.

I don't know about y'all, but I'm still very much celebrating Charlie Kirk's death. My friend and I send each other the video on a regular basis. We like it when awful people die.
Never gets old
Luke warm take: celebrating suffering of others is non-political. When you dislike someone strong enough (and you're not, like, a committed buddhist or smth) you're gonna, its only human.
Personally someone gleefully gloating is kind of a turn off though. I prefer my gloats with a touch of shame and self-consciousness 🤷♀️

On principle, I don't celebrate anyone's death. I mourn the loss of potential to do good, however unlikely it might be to ever be realised. Imagine what his influence and charisma might have achieved, if he'd turned his bullshit around.
I do celebrate the end of people doing evil, however. I am glad he stopped being a lying, manipulative piece of shit. I hope more of his ilk will follow his example.

I think it's safe to say a college dropout who chooses to spread hate and misinformation to make a quick buck is probably not redeemable in any way, shape, or form.
Yeah, hence my "however unlikely it might be to ever be realised".
Anyone can have some significant personal event that fundamentally alters their outlook and worldview, sort of like a " coming to Jesus" moment (though it would have to be the "help the poor, treat the sick, love your neighbour, fuck the rich" version of Jesus and also more of a metaphorical personification of decency than the altruistic bait of a toxic cult).
But if we can't have that, then anything stopping him from (personally) doing more harm is the next best option.

Because it feels like the fake 2nd coming mourners were more upset a lot of people were loke, "oh well, he was a garbage person."
Well, I would not say celebrate, but it did make me quite happy for a little while once I've seen the video which made it clear there was no way he would survive that. That was of course before they had officially announced his death.
