I don't know maybe it was the mirror I was on, maybe it was a bad day for it, but installing packages took awhile.

Got me wondering... just a rudimentary poke at it, no deep investigation... time xbps-install -Syu and I see it takes about 2-3 seconds per mirror to update the list, and then with a big fat load to upgrade of 374mb to dl, 1238mb on disk, and as I watch the packages come in, most are giving avg speeds equiv to maxing out my connection, whole load done in 431.37s. Seemed super slick and fast to me. Would still be barely begun if on Gentoo or Suse.
