Couldn’t we put them somewhere nicer like sdv? Doom feels mean.
They can't see the game, so I don't think it matters. They just experience a stimulation in one area of their clump when a daemon appears on one side of the screen.
For all we know, they see Jesus and their reaction is to say hello, which the scientists translate to "shoot"
