Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

If you gave me the choice between 50 million and a billion I'd take a billion too; but if you gave me 50 million no one would hear from me again as I would quit my job, move somewhere quiet, and keep to myself.
Just for clarity's sake.
The question was 'What can you buy with a billion that you couldn't get with $50 million?'
Right, but you said they insisted they wanted the billion. I'd want the billion too, but if I had 50 million I wouldn't be complaining that I didn't have a billion.
I wouldn’t quit my work with 50 million. I’d turn it into a big corp then invest in more. I’d likely work just as much but it would be to make more cash to invest into more companies so I can see my own agenda play out in ways I want.
Someone that would fuck off with 50 million would fuck off with 5 million and that’s exactly why you won’t ever have that opportunity.
That’s not me saying it’s a bad thing that you’re like that, just the reality of how some people think.
"If I had a horde of money I'd try to make it an ever bigger horde so I could tell people what to do."
Yes, that exact attitude is the problem with billionaires and why simply being a billionaire is a sign of mental illness, because people without a hording disorder will fuck off long before they get to a billion.
You're part of the problem.
