[–] diaphragmwp@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

No, that's usually the other way, empty except for these status notifications

[–] Kraiden@piefed.social 2 points 2 days ago

through a combination of just allowing notifications for every app that asks becauseIm impatient, procrastinating actually cleaning that mess up, and never dismissing anything because "I'll look at that later" or "I'm leaving it there to remind me to reply" or whatever, my notifications are usually insane

And what about people who’s phones are really old and don’t last long? And they can’t afford a new one?

[–] FishFace@piefed.social 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Depends.

What percentage are they on?

[–] tyler@programming.dev 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

My mother in law’s previous phone died by 11am. So it would go from 100% to 0% in about 3-4 hours.

[–] FishFace@piefed.social 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Well she went very rapidly from completely unsuspicious to full-on-psychopath and back then, I dunno what to say.

[–] Fern@piefed.world 2 points 2 days ago

I thought way too long about the psychological implications of having a phone with low batt after reading this.

Other people's mental health isn't your business

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Bit touchy here for some reason

[–] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net -1 points 2 days ago

Yeah, I have a personality disorder, so I don't like ableism. I stand with My ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder) siblings, who are often attacked with the ableist slur "psychop*th" (which isn't even etymologically valid, since it's literally just Greek for "mentally ill person")
