Is the series 9 worth it for someone who doesn’t have a smart watch? (alien.top)

I am looking to get an Apple Watch and I can’t decide whether or not to get the series 8 (or lower) vs the 9. The older series are much cheaper but the series 9 with the finger tap looks super cool, and I like that it’s much brighter. I was wondering what this sub would think.

I know I’ll use it a lot regardless of which version I get. The series 9 features are just tempting to me.

The series 8 and 9 are the same size. I would check out Apple's site for refurbished ones, you can get a good deal on a refurb (essentially new) one there. Just got a 45mm Series 8 for $320.
