Just curious with the Fields debate. Has there ever been a QB mid-way through their 3rd year or later with so much uncertainty develop into a reliable starting QB? Alex Smith comes to mind but obviously wasn’t good enough to keep his position.

They've lost a lot, but fun fact: the average number of points by the winning team in the NFL is 26.6. Fields has led us to more than that on 6 occansions and lost the game.

I agree with your post except for using this stat. Half of games have been won with over 26.6 points, getting over that hurdle and losing 6 of them over a 33 game span doesn't scream that its only a problem with the defense.
