Also one of our wrs dropped a game clinching pass after he had fumbled earlier in the game. And he did it all without the thumb in his throwing hand being one 100%. There is nothing a Caleb Williams or Drake Maye could do to elevate this team with all the holes and terrible coaching. Poles will most likely take a QB just to cover his ass and give himself a few more years but it will set us back a few more years and maybe longer if they bust l.
I think we know what a NC QB who wore #10 can do. And we finally have a great kicker. That’s been my take away. We settled for too many FGs. We didn’t get enough points off of turnovers. But I really wanted to break my phone after Hutchinson’s strip sack of Fields and Wright kicking the ball out of the end zone for a safety. I’m tired of our OC and HC getting conservative because we have a Pro Bowl kicker. Clearly, the Lions are an offensive powerhouse when you just sit in a soft zone. Heck, every team except the Panthers can destroy our zone. I think drafting a rookie QB just allows the next coaching staff to craft a narrative that we have our guy.
