Spot the leader…
Justin Herbert: I could have put my guys in better positions to make plays.
Justin Fields: Yeah, Tyler just misjudged it. He apologized to me personally after the game. He makes that catch and it’s pretty much over.
Conveniently leaving out the context with your summation.

He didn’t say that during the postgame press conference. If he would have, you’re right, it would’ve been slightly different.
And to be clear, Luke Getsy didn’t simply say “we need to execute” either. Not defending him, but the team is full of scapegoaters and guys who refuse to take responsibility.
You can justifiably criticize Fields’ play in many areas, but to call him a bad teammate or leader is so far off base I question whether you’re a true fan or just a troll. The man has literally been taking personal responsibility for dog shit offensive line and receiver play for 3 years. The fact that your argument is based off one occasion in which he lightly holds a rookie accountable (while also subsequently building him back up) is completely ridiculous. GTFO with this petty ass bullshit.
It’s not remotely based one on instance. And what are you talking about he’s taken responsibility for the line? You’re talking about a dude that needed to call a second press conference two hours apart to walk back blaming the coaching staff?
The team and fanbase have done everything possible to make excuses and give him opportunities, and I hope he succeeds. But he has very much deflected responsibility when given the opportunity.
