When we say MHJ is the best prospect without question… uhh, I question that. Dozens of analysts question that.
I am absolutely not against drafting him. But there are other collegiate receivers having great years. Jamar Chase was a great prospect. I would have 100% taken Sewell given the choice. The Bears traded an early first round pick for Moore. Are they really going to spend a second on MHJ?
It’s not remotely based one on instance. And what are you talking about he’s taken responsibility for the line? You’re talking about a dude that needed to call a second press conference two hours apart to walk back blaming the coaching staff?
The team and fanbase have done everything possible to make excuses and give him opportunities, and I hope he succeeds. But he has very much deflected responsibility when given the opportunity.

Justin Herbert had two dropped touchdowns and a fumble inside the 15. You think Fields is the only guy who has passes dropped? Mahomes threw a truly perfect dart in their loss to Philly. Did he feel the need to call out a receiver (a rookie no less)?

This is the sanest response on here. Poles was not selected as GM due to a body of past work. He was picked because he was going to do things differently, which pretty clearly in Chicago means finding the QB that none of your predecessors have been able to find.
Not at all saying it’s his “fault,” but it is absolutely fair to question what type of work they did that made them say “yeah, Stroud isn’t our guy.”
Don’t sleep on Troy Franklin! I’m not at all saying he’s the better pro prospect, but dude has better numbers than Harrison and has played a tougher schedule.
