I've got one on Tuesday that looks like my best shot at a new job since I got laid off in the summer. It's with a vice president of the company and the person whose position I'm filling since she got promoted

I'm just a little weirdo, I don't know how to make them want to hire me boohoo

if they ask you any anecdote questions - stuff like "tell us a time you had to think on your feet" or "tell us about a disagreement you had w a coworker" or whatever - those are the ones you can feel free to lie your head off about. come up with a good story or if possible brush up a real one. those are the sorts of things that interviewers can't fact check you on, and you won't get caught doing something completely outside your wheelhouse like you might if you lied about having a certain skill or something.

also make sure to ask questions yourself at the end. nuts and bolts stuff about the position itself that demonstrates that you've got some knowledge about the field seem to go well in my experience. also be sure to ask about hours, benefits, and pay if those weren't discussed in the job posting.
