The full post is so much more unhinged. Anyone know what’s up with the “attack every Jew on planet earth” quote? Is the translation funky or is that genuine?

Edit: I looked it up myself. The linked clip is Palestinian Legislative Council member Fathi Hammad speaking in 2019 and while I couldn’t find any alternate translations, I also didn’t find anything contesting the statement. In fact, he was forced to walk back his statements after widespread condemnation, which included Hamas and a number of Palestinian activist groups.

From researching quickly it seems that a Hamas official said this in 2019 (unsure if the translation is good) and then a couple of days later Hamas publicly clarified that this was incorrect and did not represent their position.

“These remarks do not reflect the official stances of Hamas and its policy,” stated Hamas on Monday in response to Hamas official Fathi Hamad who on Friday told Palestinians worldwide to “attack every Jew on planet Earth.” In the statement on their website, Hamas stressed that it's stances and policy “state that our struggle is only against the Israeli occupation which occupies our land and desecrates our holy places.”

In response to Hamad's remarks, Hamas official Ahmed Yussuf stated earlier on Monday that Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh “needs to stress that our conflict is with the occupation army, and not Jews from all over the world,” according to KAN. “Those words do not represent Hamas,” Yussuf claimed, and called on Haniyeh to stress that the fight is not against all Jews, but only against the occupation army. One would struggle to and find a similar response when an Israeli official goes on a genocidal rant against Palestinians/Arabs as happens regularly [1] [2].

Irregardless, these positions in the resistance come from Israel’s own insistence on carrying out their violent colonial settler project in the name of all Jewish people/the Jewish identity (as Hamas states in point 16 of their 2017 charter), which both allows them to characterize any opposition as antisemitism and fuels antisemitism among the people they oppress.

That is some made up shit. Just like the whole 'Palestinian Hamas agents that were 'rounded up' planning to attack Jewish institutions.' They arrested some Palestinians who may have been planning protest demonstrations and were affiliated with Palestinian aid organizations. It's literally the Iraq thing all over again.

It’s actually not made up. It was a statement from 2019 that was later rescinded but it was indeed said.

Ah, makes sense.
