Say I wanted to buy a digital copy of an LCD Soundsystem album (files that I can transfer to a mp3 player).....(this is embarrassing)... How, ahhh, how would I do that these days?... I've been using streaming services for so long....

I found that link earlier... But it just leads to streaming options for their albums.

Amazon doesn't seem to let me if it knows I'm in Australia. Apple means iTunes (no account) right, or is it a download link for the files?

After it takes you to the Apple Music page, click the three dots on the right of a song and then click "Show in iTunes store". Once you have the song you can export it as MP3.

Go to Music > Preferences > Files > Import Settings, and set "Import Using" to MP3.

Select the song, click File > Convert > Create MP3 version

at least that's what I can do on my version of Music (1.1.6.37).

i think you can buy MP3s on amazon? I've also bought a CD on ebay recently because I want the real thing and I can load that as MP3 into my computer if I want to.

be sure to upload using a media player, not itunes.

That was my first thought, but no.

Edit - no as in they are on Bandcamp, but just not the album I was after

Sound of silver. I actually ended up finding it in full on the internet archive of all places.
