RULES

  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
  4. Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world
  5. Keep it clean and SFW
  6. No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

Just was looking up some outside of the box ways to help get my short in front of some people who may be interested!

Also, would you consider going an "Ask me anything" post at some point in the future? I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in your experience in the film industry

Yes I could do that! What channel is the best for that sort of thing? I’m new to this site

I guess !movies@lemm.ee would be the most interesting one, as its audience is mostly interested in movies. I'm a mod of that community, so I can help with this.

When would be the best time for you to this this? Usually this kind of sessions last a few days, so that people haven enough time to ask their questions, and that you have enough time to answer. It's also better to announce it a few days beforehand so that people are aware of the session and come up with questions.

I also noticed that Lemmy is a bit more active during the week than during the weekends, so we should also take that into account.

Great! I am filming until Monday, but have a day off Tuesday and Wednesday, if those work I could probably do it then! Let me know what works on your end

Alright, I'll see what we can do! Which timezone are you located in?

[–] nelly32418@lemm.ee 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

filming in EST but then will be returning to PST on the 21st

Alright! One last thing before we go further: do you know how to see Direct Messages on Lemmy? I just would like to verify you are indeed Will Ropp (I guess you are, but we never know). We can discuss that in DMs, let me know if you have issue finding them.

On the website they are part of the inbox, that you can access using the bell (or https://lemm.ee/inbox), if you are on a mobile client they should be somewhere. I just sent you a message, we can take it from here over there!

Just responded to your message, let me know if you received.
