The Mayor Pete High High Hopes Dancers, with a giant cardboard cutout of Pete's face.

I still don't know what that was about and I don't want to learn. I know it had something to do with 🐍's dog

https://www.wired.com/story/pete-buttigieg-interview-god-beer-electric-mustang/

THE CURIOUS MIND of Pete Buttigieg holds much of its functionality in reserve. Even as he discusses railroads and airlines, down to the pointillist data that is his current stock-in-trade, the US secretary of transportation comes off like a Mensa black card holder who might have a secret Go habit or a three-second Rubik’s Cube solution or a knack for supplying, off the top of his head, the day of the week for a random date in 1404, along with a non-condescending history of the Julian and Gregorian calendars.

If you haven’t read this article drooling over Pete’s “voluminous mind” I highly recommend it. It’s not satire.

"I can imagine Pete as being really, really smart. He's not. But I can imagine it!"

I went so long without hearing that stupid song for the first time. Curse my co workers shitty music taste. I made it almost a whole year without hearing that Oliver Anthony/Anthony Oliver song too. Thanks Michelle. Get a fucking brain.

This doesn't fit into this thread (because it was awesome) but one of my most memorable events of 2020 was the fake Bloomberg high high hands parody by comedians Brad Evans and Nick Ciarelli. The entire subreddit and ytwitter thought it was real.
