I got to the kelpie episode the other day and kinda lost interest. Does it get more plot involvement or does it continue to be serials of monster dishes?
It gets much more plot. The "it's dinner in a dungeon" is bait for what slowly develops into a really serious DnD story. It also goes pretty heavy places.
What I like about the eating focus is that it gives you a real sense of time passing throughout the show, you can feel the routine of the party because you know what time occurs between meals in real life so it gives a really strong connection to time.
