My guess is they realised it was ineffective and a poor use of their time. Their Ukraine spin only works because libs side with Ukraine, the same spin just doesn't work with Israel's support worldwide being totally different.
That and also until this war with Israel libs thought Russia was behaving very badly and attacking civilians. It took Israel's genocide to make them realise what genocide actually looks like.

To reunification? Not without the US fucking off. There is desire for reunification among koreans but the US demands a seat at any table discussing reunification and prevents its occurrence.
The US will have to be forced to leave before it can happen. This could feasibly happen without full blown war if the US is stretched on many fronts to the point it has to choose whether it can defend its bases there or whether to abandon them, much like middle east and africa bases they've been pushed to leave.
Maybe there is hope that the strong and growing power of women's- movements can coincide with a recognition that socialism is how the patriarchy is defeated?
I think the repression is too strong. Even Chomsky's books get banned in South Korea, anything even close to soft-red is not tolerated and cracked down upon. Socialists hide their socialism and organise through the labour unions instead without ever mentioning the word.

I like his point on reinforcing failure, I said something similar a few days ago. As things get bad instead of accepting losses and regrouping the empire doubles down on loss and loses even more. The empire is unwilling to give anything up but it MUST in order to regroup at a lesser level to stop the decline, instead however it keeps doubling down and losing even more.
Either a reunification in favour of DPRK as it's the non-occupied Korea or a return to war when the timing is correct. I see no alternatives.

Maybe a little too subtle on the lgbt themes but I also kinda enjoy it in a "I can understand what that means!" kind of way that makes you feel clever. Could have developed more characters with 2 cours instead of 1.
Should be compared to A Place Further than the Universe. I'd say Jellee's characters are slightly more mature and feel more real though.

Alright so my friend's place burned to the ground, literally. The fire started in the flat above and spread. Everything is gone. I care about this person a lot and it's incredibly lucky that nobody was killed.
