I actually thought it was a Minecraft song when I first heard it out of context. Underrated bit che-smile

honestly gave me chills first time through, i think its genuinely such a good decision to have such a stripped back boss track for the very last boss, given the tone, lore and atmosphere up to this point

and then DS3 stalin-feels-good

bloodborne and dark souls 3 really were the pinnacle of dark souls music

I disagree.

Sekiro has one of the best ost’s out of Ffromsoft’s soulsbourne’s in my opinion, Owl (father), it’s my favorite OST FS has ever featured in a game, the lyrics too are mind numbing, “slime on your head Nickelodeon time” makes me cry anytime I hear it

i was never good enough at sekiro to get that far, your argument is persuasive though.

My god dark souls is so good its massive commercial success is baffling considering that, always and forever, slop is usually the king of gaming money and they were initially reluctant to port it to PC.

unpopular opinion: as far as music goes, fromsoft has only gone downhill after demon souls and dark souls. I fucking adore Elden Ring, but I sure hope that whatever is next for them (after the dlc) they get more adventurous with the music again.

The music in Elden Ring has been mostly forgettable

Besides Radagon's boss theme, I genuinely don't remember any of the tracks.
