Me with the Not Just Bikes guy, making him watch videos of the DPRK

[–] assyrian@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago

God, all those innocent North Koreans, about to be sent to the hyper-gulag for not having the same haircut as Kim Jong-Un.

Literally every person in that video is now serving their 4 generations sentence at the labour camp.

Damn, this is creepy. People being forced to walk around a city to go about their business. You tankies will defend this, but it clearly shows how little freedom these people have under this oppressive regime.

Alot of green on the buildings huh. Nice aesthetic.

Wow, literally not a single ad anywhere, I pity these people yearning for our Western freedom

Some nice big trees there.

Every video I see of NK has a ton of car infrstrucrure but very few cars.

You know, I always figured it was more for bikes and shit than cars, but these mfers are riding their bikes on the sidewalks anyway. You're right, what the hell are these enormous roads actually for?

Not that it's a huge problem, a big empty road is far nicer than a road of any size packed with cars. But it is a weird urban planning choice.

military use mostly. same reason the highway system in america was made for emergency aircraft landings and for military convoys

I dont recognise it but I got SO uncomfortable at how the camera followed that person, creepshots up the wazoo

[–] ButtBidet@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

I'm glad I'm in a space that thinks like this.

[–] Aquilae@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

Yeah not a good account

Some green space and no litter. Looks lovely, honestly.

Omg look at all these actors paid to pretend they're people living normal lives. So crazy that they do this

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

looks nicer than literally any city I've been in.

[–] RaisedFistJoker@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

literally the most beautiful city on earth

[–] Abracadaniel@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Literally looks like a planet from TNG, excluding the roads.

[–] Aquilae@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago

The roads are weird. There always seem to be wide roads in footage of the DPRK even though most people are seen riding bikes and walking.

Could be made much thinner or just replaced with trams or something. Perhaps it's a result of the sanctions?
