Ground effect, active aero, ditching the V6.

They're listening to internet fans. This is going to be a disaster.

Pit limiting's gone, refuelling's back, Andretti is in, safety car's an R34, middle-east is out except for Bahrain, Monaco is go-karts, Tyrell-style 6-wheelers are allowed back in, post-race press conferences are back, Monza's bank is restored, Bathurst is added AND the full Nordschleife, sprints are replaced with rally-x, Suzuka's moved to Belgium to guarantee rain, nitrous is allowed in China, AM gets more points by replacing Lance with Michael Schumacher, and the opening theme is only euro beats or Japanese metal.

You lost me at not reinstating The Chain as the F1 intro music

Hmm, you forgot fan cars. We need fan cars.

I understand people who miss the banshee scream of the V10s/V12s, or the roar of the V8s, but Iโ€™m already annoyed that theyโ€™re dropping the MGU-H for 2026.

The current turbo-hybrid engines are INCREDIBLE from a thermal efficiency standpoint. Itโ€™s insane. Thatโ€™s part of why theyโ€™re quiet. Theyโ€™re exactly where F1 should be taking ICE technology. More power from less fuel. Less wasted energy.

But I suppose that F1 is going to lose technological relevance anyway as the world shifts away from ICEs, so we might as well make the spectacle more entertaining. No one cares how useful racehorses are, just whether theyโ€™re fast.

The noise is the worst part of race cars. Why do people want more of it?

Hearing damage is cumulative and permanent.

Or as marketing puts it: leaves a lasting impression!

Not really up to him, but to the FIA and the teams.

Personally I want the FIA to remove a lot of restrictions. Not being allowed to use advanced materials for much of the engine seems insane to me. Remove nonsense like that.

Maybe even just give a fuel allowance and let them come up with whatever engine designs they like.

And the car makers: "Dude, we're here to promote our street cars which are 80% electric by 2030!"

Also: FOM's Stefano Domenicali has no say in the rules. The FIA has.
