Lib-friendly idea to toss out as a "what excuse do we have for not doing this?": nationalize the national guard troops of Texas and anyone else who sent troops to the border then order them to tear this shit down.
Absolute minimum you could do and you draw parallels to nationalizing the Alabama national guard to force desegregation.
And even the most institutional brained should support some sort of intervention by the federal government because this involves the border, which has always been the domain of the Feds not the states.
