Moralism has moral in it, so it must be a pretty great ideologynormal

Why would someone oppose a morals-based international order? Do they hate morals?

Its just whatever the status quo is. The purest form of conservatism. If you have a radically socialist society last for enough generations then you'll get moralists defending it against any changes. Hopefully a socialist society would continue to rapidly evolve so this doesn't happen but that's beside the point. Its purely relative.

I've heard zizek describe himself as that, essentially. A "conservative communist" who has whatever ideology is going to preserve whatever is gained by the revolution

I vibed so hard with the stuff Noid had to say about Dolores Dei, sorry ZA/UM but the Hardcore Aesthetic is NOT JUST DRUGS (only mostly)

[–] milistanaccount09@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not that the Noid stuff doesn't have a good point to it (espc wrt dolores-dei )but I'm still losing it at this gag

It's why I see Noid as a long Nietzsche reference, down to fascists cynically adopting his own "hardcore aesthetic." He calls Dolores and Humanism "part of a long term strategy" in a way that mirrors what Nietzsche wrote about slave/master morality too iirc, good stuff.

I never knew that, thank you for sharing :)
