Actually I just saw this thread in the !test@fanaticus.social community that seems to be testing NFL game threads.

We're working on it! If you'd like to contribute, we've forked the redball bot and are discussing it on this discord server, on the lemmy channel here.
@headie_sage@fanaticus.social said that he and another user will make football bots closer to the start of the regular season but I haven’t heard anything recently.
The user is @cervant@lemmy.world. He's started work on the conversion but he's run into some issues with the existing NFL API. According to creator of the reddit bot (that we're porting to lemmy), the NFL API has changed and some (other reddit bot maintainers) have had to either migrate to another API or rewrite their data feeds in order to get the bot running.
The user is @cerevant@lemmy.world.
That’s right, I couldn’t remember his name for some reason.
Also, have you guys found a CFB API from the existing Reddit API that we can port over? I’m not super familiar with how they work but I don’t mind learning and trying to run some college game thread bots. I know this will be vital to growing my college football community in the future.
And I’ve been meaning to ask for a while, does Fanaticus have its own Discord yet? I’ve seen you mention what I believe is a broader Lemmy-discussion Discord to troubleshoot issues but I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention one solely for this instance.
Fanaticus does not have its own discord server.
It doesn't look like redball supports CFB currently. Do you know of a bot on reddit for CFB?
