I set up BitWarden for my mum ages back and thought nothing of it. She's been using it fine and hasn't had a problem. Only, now that I've gone to set it up on a new device for her, I'm realising I don't remember her master password. Neither does she. She's been using the biometric login the whole time. Anyone know any way around this?

Export all her logins from the app she can still use.

Going forward, you can make your account the emergency escalation for her account, it would take a week to reset the password, but you can do it.

You can store her master password in your vault. Or on a piece of paper stored in a safe, a bank, a friend's house.

I think vault export requires the password, so manually exporting all the entries one by one may be necessary. Wont be fun to do but if it means not starting over it can be worth it. And yeah storing the master password in a vault is definitely something everyone should do

It doesn't occasionally prompt for the master with bio? I have a pin and it seems to ask me every time I reboot my phone and randomly like every couple of days.

Nope. Never asks. I don't even know my password, it's stored in BitWarden. I really need to sort out a redundancy

That's really cool. Thank you.
