The big 3 are Bell, Rogers and Telus.

Boycott the big 3 by switching to the smaller telecom companies: Sasktel, Lüm Mobile, Freedom, Fizz, Vidéotron, Eastlink, Ecotel, Execulink, Ice Wireless, Nexicom, Sogetel, TBayTel, K-Net Mobile.

The big 3 have a marketshare of 82.8%.

The Saskatchewn Party is dismantling the last canadian telecom crown corporation Sasktel. Vote them out.

What are we looking at? Do you have a link?

I thought that even the smaller companies were either owned by the big 3 or used their infrastructure. I'd love to he proven wrong though!

Saskatchewan has SaskTel which is a crown corporation. But in other places the backbone is all owned by the big 3 and they sell space on their fiber or towers. If I remember Rogers has ~40% of the Ontario market. SaskTel has ~70% of Saskatchewan's.

ETA: TIL the tilde does subscript in Lemmy markup. ~Hooray~

Yes, I'm painfully aware - I live here.

Telus was also a crown corp before the Alberta government privatized them. And after that happened, Telus bought BCtel from the BC government when it was privatized.
