There are some places on jeans that wear out that..... well..... you just don't want to draw attention to.....

I would definitely be fine with sewing up the torn ass of my jeans with bright pink stitching that says "JUICY."

You can always just use denim coloured thread on a denim patch

Yeah, but matching the fade is difficult, otherwise you still would still, errr, draw attention to that spot

You get the same thing with a standard patch. People aren't staring at your taint on the reg. And if someone notices a crotch patch job, the polite thing to do is not remark. If someone is doing either of these, they're the fuckin' weirdo.
