I would definitely be fine with sewing up the torn ass of my jeans with bright pink stitching that says "JUICY."

Yeah, but matching the fade is difficult, otherwise you still would still, errr, draw attention to that spot

You get the same thing with a standard patch. People aren't staring at your taint on the reg. And if someone notices a crotch patch job, the polite thing to do is not remark. If someone is doing either of these, they're the fuckin' weirdo.
