The Perseid shower had blue contrails that looked like a miniature aurora borealis trailing behind them. One of the most surreal things I've seen.

So is it green here because of the wild amount of light pollution? I thought this was taken at sunset before I saw the stars above the clouds. I'm wondering if they could have even seen the meteor without the clouds blocking some of the light...
